The Official Chris Chambers TNT Training Website....To Maui, Hawaii or BUST!!!
UPDATE: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!
See latest diary note for results of my tri competition. Letters/pics to follow Hi and welcome to my official Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Team N Training website! I appreciate you taking the time to find out more about this deadly disease and why I have taken on this challenge. I hope you will continue to come back and visit every so often to check up on my training regimen, view honored hero updates, see how my donations are coming, see photos, sign my guest book, and much much more. As many of you may or may not know, I dream of becoming a physician someday and I am currently working hard towards this goal. This process has introduced me to many forms of volunteerism, in which I have been able to experience the wonderful fulfillment gained by helping others, especially those in need. When the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's TNT program flyer came in the mail, I was immediately "hooked" and knew I had a calling to answer. I'm going to get the best of both worlds...compete in a Triathlon for the first time ever and help those that suffer from leukemia and related diseases. I want to personally thank the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for letting me help make a difference! I'm dedicating this mission to my Honored Heroes: Maura, Colbi, Nitia, Kaitlyn, Zachary, Cooper, Davin, and Jeff. I'm also dedicating this mission to those friends and family members that lost their battle with cancer related illnesses: Craig Ruble, Shirley Capers, Jean Chambers (grandmother), Joe Chambers (grandfather), and Virginia Ward (grandmother). My challenge is to raise $5800 before my triathlon (King's Trail Triathlon) is held on June 22, 2003 in Maui, Hawaii. This may seem like a daunting challenge, but in retrospect it doesn't scratch the surface when compared to the challenge that leukemia and blood related cancer sufferers face! I face this challenge with 110% effort. However, I and my Honored Heroes need your help. Please donate if you can (see donate link). So folks, sit back in your desk chair and mouse click your hearts away as we take this journey and challenge on together. P.S. Please sign my guestbook! |
